The new Homeland Security Secretary is former Senator Markwayne Mullin who has replaced Kristi Noem, who stepped down as DHS secretary to spend more time with her cross-dressing husband who is in a Christian sex rehab after the media published photos of him in booty shorts wearing fake breasts and exposed his obsession with bimbofication pornography and cam models. Markwayne has two first names, probably because his father was so wealthy he bought him a second one. Markwayne inherited his father’s company and and ran for office. First as a Congressman and then a Senator. He famously stood on an apple box to look taller during a debate for his Senate seat.
You may also know Markwayne from the time he challenged the head of the teamsters union to a literal fist fight on the floor of the Senate because he was upset about the guy criticizing him on Twitter. Bernie Sanders had to remind him that he is a US Senator and told him to act accordingly. It was pretty wild. He once said that he could see why Senator Rand Paul was assaulted while Paul was still in the hospital and called him a “snake.” There are plenty of videos floating around of him doing weird stuff like bragging about strangling his daughter’s boyfriend and talking about whipping her butt. Of course the reason he got this nomination is because he was one of the few members of Congress who stuck with the big lie that the 2020 election was stolen, going as far as voting against certifying the 2020 presidential election results. The man is unhinged.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin appeared on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning and said that the Department of Homeland Security will run out of money to pay employees’ salaries the first week of May 2026. Money to pay DHS salaries is coming from the funds Congress allocated to DHS last year via President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill but DHS has an extensive payroll burden and according to Markwayne, if the department doesn’t get more funding, that extra pot of money will dry up in two weeks.

“My payroll through DHS is just over $1.6 billion every two weeks, so the money is going extremely fast and once that happens, there is no emergency funds after that,” Mullin said. “I’ve got one payroll left and there is no more emergency funds, so the president can’t do another executive order because there’s no more money there.”
Keep in mind, Markwayne said that this is the payroll WITH TWO THIRDS OF THE DEPARTMENT BEING FURLOUGHED! That is an absolutely ridiculous amount of money. Think about how much money President Trump’s obsession with deportations is costing the US taxpayers.
Every two weeks we are spending $1.6 billion. If DHS gets the funding they want want then that amount with increase by two thirds to the full amount, which is $2.76 BILLION EVERY TWO WEEKS!
Think of how the government could be serving the American people with $2.76 billion every two weeks. You should be furious to learn about this massive amount of waste.
